Last month, in a post for her 18.4k followers to see, Lucy revealed that she’d been hospitalised with kidney stones.

Lucy – who has been on The One Show since 2007 – uploaded a snap of a garden with a cherry blossom tree in it.

“I had planned some lovely content for #earthday but things went awry,” she wrote at the time.

“Spent the night in A&E with kidney stones. It was brutal,” she then continued.

“But if you’re going to scream in pain and throw up in public the unflappable and good humoured @epsom_sthelier emergency staff are the people to do it with. Thanks guys,” she then added.

BBC The One Show star Lucy Siegle issues update

Yesterday (Wednesday, May 8) saw Lucy issue an update to her followers regarding her kidney stones issue.

Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “Top of the morning to anyone who has begun the day with a bizarre medical intervention, as I have.

“Lithotripsy is like being at a very bad rave. But good news – kidney stone has moved & is now stuck somewhere else,” she then said.

“Today mainly doing star jumps,” she then added.

According to the NHS site, Lithotripsy treats kidney stones by sending focused ultrasonic energy or shock waves directly to the stone. These shock waves then break the kidney stone into smaller stones, which can pass through the urinary system.

“Kidney solidarity. Kidlidarity. Or solidney. Get well soon, Lucy!” one fan tweeted.

“Brilliant news,” another said. “Oh my goshness, how can I help?” a third fan asked.

“Send good vibes ! X,” Lucy replied.
