Why Miley Cyrus will never walk red carpet with Liam Hemsworth again

Pop star opens up in candid new interview about low-key life with fiancé Liam

Miley Cyrus has opened up about her life with fiancé Liam Hemsworth and why she quit the red carpet in a candid new interview.

Wearing little more than a stunning lacy see-through white dress and her beautiful engagement ring, the 23-year-old revealed all for the October issue of Elle magazine.

Gracing the cover of the magazine, Miley gave fans a glimpse into the low-key life she now shares again with her 26-year-old Hunger Games beau, after the pair reconciled earlier this year.

While Miley remained tight lipped about her now on-again romance with Aussie Liam, she she did reveal her partner is obsessed with Pokémon Go.

Painting a laid-back picture of their life together she said: ‘Liam woke up [this morning] and tried to go to the car wash because it was a – what do you call it? – PokéSpot.’

‘Like, “Got to go find them and catch them all! Ahh!”…’

However, Miley seems likely to stick to apps such as Instagram and Twitter, noting she doesn’t even understand Snapchat.

‘I feel like I’ll be an old lady that’s too held back, because I don’t keep up with it,’ Miley commented.

The remarks paint a much calmer lifestyle for the former child star, who has previously drawn attention for her post-Disney wild ways.

She met Liam while working on drama The Last Song in 2009 and they announced their engagement in June 2012, before calling it off in 2013.

In January this year PEOPLE then revealed the couple’s wedding was back on.

But while Miley clearly loves Liam, she is less enamoured with the glitz of Hollywood, revealing she will not be seen on another red carpet again.

‘I will never do a red carpet again. Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red?’ Miley said.

She continued: ‘Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’? That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit – it’s like Zoolander.’

Miley likened her revelatory moment to one faced by her character in Woody Allen’s upcoming Amazon series Crisis in Six Scenes , which marks the star’s return to television after last appearing on Hannah Montana in 2011.

‘I’m playing this ’60s revolutionary. Woody plays someone who grew up in the suburbs of New York.

‘He’s got an ice cream machine, and I’m like, people are starving and you’re sitting here making ice cream?!’

The Hannah Montana star added: ‘For a long time, I couldn’t sleep because I just felt so guilty.

‘I was covered in rashes because I was so stressed…so now I try to do as much as I can through Happy Hippie.’

The Happy Hippie Foundation is Miley’s nonprofit organization, which works to ‘to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth, and other vulnerable populations.’

Miley also talked about being a new judge on NBC series The Voice, alongside fellow coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Alicia Keys.

The famously outspoken star revealed she will be advising her contestants to ‘Be Bernie Sanders.’

She said: ‘I don’t want this to come off the wrong way.

‘Be the person people want and love. Don’t worry about the masses.

‘That’s how you make a memorable moment. Let people talk about it,’

Miley’s Elle issue hits newsstands September 20.
