Ryan Thomas reveals he’ll “never work again” now he has brother Adam to compete with at auditions

The Thomas brothers will be fighting it out for work!

Ryan Thomas has revealed that he thinks his brother, Adam Thomas, is such a talented actor that he’ll have to fight him for acting roles.

In a chat with Entertainment Daily! Ryan revealed that he was hugely proud of Emmerdale actor Adam – even if it does mean they’ll have to fight over auditions now that he’s left his role as Adam Barton.

“I’m so pleased for him that it’s working out. He wanted to leave Emmerdale but it was a leap of faith. On the other hand I’ll never get a job now!

“Adam’s too good, he’ll take all the best jobs! Ill never work again.

“I’m thrilled for him, he is a fine actor. I’ve watched him grow on Emmerdale and develop into what he is today – I’m very proud and supportive of whatever he does.”

Ryan also told us that it’s been lovely to spend some quality time with his sibling now that they don’t have such hectic filming schedules.

With Ryan previously working on Coronation Street as Jason Grimshaw, and Adam working on Emmerdale, the pair never got to catch up.

“It’s been so amazing to see each other,” he told us. “We were working so much last year – I was in Australia filming Neighbours and he was busy with Emmerdale, so it was hard to get time together.

“We didnt even get the chance to spend Christmas together peoperly, so it’s been nice getting together recently.”

And it’s not just Adam and Ryan who have had the chance to hang out together – it’s their families, too…

“We can get the kids together, go for breakfast, we’re having a blast. I’ve missed our Adam!

With Ryan’s daughter, Scarlett, who he shares with Corrie actress Tina O’Brien, and Adam’s son Teddy, already on the family scene, it is set to get even busier at their Thomas clan catch ups with Adam’s wife Caroline expecting their second child.

“We have had some great bonding time recently – not just us two, but all of us, Adam’s wife and son, and Scarlett and everyone, we have all had good times that were well over due.”

Watch Adam arrive in Erinsborough as part of a special hour-long episode on Monday 12 February on Channel 5 at 10pm.

Neighbours also continues weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm.
