The podcast host detailed: “I was thinking ‘My capacity is full.’ My brain is full. I’ve got enough in it now and I’m not fitting anything new in and I’m not recalling things in quite the same way.”

The star went on to say: “It was a concern to me [when it set in] – what if I couldn’t do live sports broadcasting anymore?”

The star has also discussed the topic on her podcast, The Mid Point. She explained that she wasn’t sure whether she was going through the menopause as she thought she was  “a bit young”.

She even detailed becoming tongue-tied whilst presenting and having difficulty thinking of words.

Gabby explained: “I’d get that feeling where you can’t get the word for… you know, the thing… that thing people ride, with a saddle and four legs… It was awful.”

In November, Gabby made an appearance on Anna Richardson’s podcast, It Can’t Just Be Me and detailed other issues the menopause caused.

She opened up about a change in her libido. The star did find this improved after taking HRT. She said: “I felt definitely a massive improvement there and that was important to me.

“I had a very healthy relationship with my husband and I loved him and fancied him and I couldn’t understand why I didn’t want to have sex with him as much or why it was something that I felt I was going to have to have.”

Gabby Logan discusses hypocrisy in TV career

The sports expert has previously told Women’s Health UK her thoughts regarding hypocrisy in the television industry.

She detailed: “There’s hypocrisy – sometimes I see a bloke and think, ‘The female equivalent of you doesn’t exist on TV… There isn’t a woman who looks that dishevelled…’

“And in a way I don’t think there should be either, because I always feel with TV, I’m going in someone’s living room…

“I want to be respectful of that and make a bit of effort. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have those standards.”
