Charity recently noticed that Megan had only pretended to have forgiven Frank for his secret liaisons with her, and it got her wondering what her rival was playing at.

It wasn’t long before Charity had got it out of Megan, that she was plotting revenge on the love-rat, and Charity decided to help her rival out.

But it looks like Charity might be in it alone as she suspects Megan has started to change her mind and forgive Frank for real.

During a ‘date-night’ at the Woolpack, Frank confesses to Megan that he sees her little girl, Eliza, as his own – and Megs looks genuinely touched by his words.

He even goes as far as telling her that he wants to set up a charity for young people in trouble – and Megan, affectionately squeezes his hand. Does she really believe he’s a changed man?

Of course, Charity has noticed the whole exchange and is not very happy about it. Not one bit. She confronts Megan and accuses her of backing down from the plan to get Frank sent to prison.

Megan admits she’s worried about their scheme, but Charity tries to persuade her to stick with it.

When Charity spots that Frank has left his phone at the pub, she gets a sneaky idea of her own and pockets it, rather than returning it.

Has she had an idea on how to get the revenge plot moving along?

Meanwhile, Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, has hinted that the unlikely pairing up of her and Megan, could lead to an unexpected romance between them.

She said: “We’ve been given some dialogue today where we have said, ‘Where is this going?’ I’m not afraid of it going in that direction. I do believe you can fall in love with a person no matter what their gender.

“It wouldn’t bother me. She should connect with anyone, male or female.

“Us coming together in some shape or form is interesting because there’s so much we don’t like about one another.

“And yet we have come together because we’re practically family. We have been through a lot.”

Gaynor added to the speculation, saying: “I think the thing is, we are actors, anything – great storylines, great relationships, great drama… anything could happen.”
