Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has sent a warm message of support to his “lovely friend” Lisa Armstrong.
The outspoken presenter, 54, seemed to firmly choose a side in the bitter divorce proceedings between Lisa and her ex Ant McPartlin, when he very publicly congratulated her on winning a prestigious award.

On Tuesday night (November 26), Lisa attended the Royal Television Society Craft And Design Awards 2019, having been nominated in the Make-Up Design In Entertainment And Non-Drama category.
And Lisa, 43, was “so happy” to win the coveted prize on the night.
Congrats to my lovely friend and long-time Life Stories make-up artist @lisaAmakeup for this well-deserved award.
The RTS congratulated Lisa on her big win, writing: “Congratulations to Lisa Armstrong, who takes the Make-Up Design In Entertainment And Non-Drama award for @bbcstrictly!
“Judges were impressed by her ‘daring and exciting’ characters and transformations #RTSAwards.”

Piers was quick to react to the message, retweeting it alongside his own words of praise which said: “Congrats to my lovely friend and long-time Life Stories make-up artist @lisaAmakeup for this well-deserved award. Proud of you!”
His show of loyalty for Lisa comes just days after another very public display – a Twitter spat with Lisa’s estranged husband Ant McPartlin.
During a war of words on social media, Piers branded Ant a “titch”.

Ahead of Kate Garraway’s Bushtucker Trial ‘Bugged Out’, Dec admitted she would be facing a “huge challenge”.
Cutting in, Ant quipped: “But before she goes back to work with Piers Morgan, she’s got three weeks in the jungle!”
Referencing the jibe on Twitter, Piers said: “At least I have my own Twitter account and don’t have to share one with my mate.”
They, in turn, told him to “grow up, you big wally”, before he called Ant “that titch”.
Lisa was left heartbroken when husband Ant left her and got together with his current girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett.
They are said to be embarking on a court battle to finalise their divorce.
